Nancy Wildman

My name is Nancy Wildman, and I am excited to be a tutor with Joe’s Kids. I have spent 40 years working with kids in different environments. I taught 6th grade, preschool and worked in a reading recovery classroom at North Webster Elementary school. I also worked in Children’s ministry at Warsaw Community Church for 12 years and most recently spent the last 18 years in the Dominican Republic helping to provide education to thousands of children who don’t have the opportunity to go to school. I developed a reading recovery program to help students learn to read in Spanish which was a huge challenge!
I love to read, so my passion to help kids become aware of the wonders of literature is an amazing opportunity. I am thankful to learn more about how to help struggling readers and kids with dyslexia and am currently earning my Orton-Gillingham certification. I am excited to be a part of the team!
